Know Your Physio Case Study: Will S.

“After 6 months, I don’t need to make a conscious effort to live healthier. It’s just second nature now.”

Will Schroeder joined Know Your Physio because he could feel and see that there was a gap between his then-current efforts and his results. He was training consistently and “eating clean,” but his body was not responding the way it should. Six months later, he described that moment as “a recalibration phase,” and said the biggest win was simple: “my habits are now ingrained,” and he finally felt like the best version of himself again.

Day 1: Baseline Assessment

Identifying the fundamental disconnect between consistency and results.

The Challenge

Training consistently and eating "clean," yet results were stagnant. A widening gap between physical effort and actual physiological response.

Starting Weight 232 lbs High Inflammatory Load
Body Fat % 26.7% Above Optimal Range
Testosterone 346 ng/dL Baseline Deficiency

"I’m an accountant, so what I see needs to make sense numbers wise, or else I’m not going to follow through on it."

Will wanted “no guesswork,” and a qualified team that could translate health data into real life action. As he put it:

“I’m an accountant, so what I see needs to make sense numbers wise, or else I’m not going to follow through on it.”

Body Recomposition Analysis

DEXA Analysis: Building Muscle While Losing Fat

Fat Mass Lost -26 lbs
Muscle Gained +6 lbs
Body Fat % -5.3%
Current Weight 220 lbs
Momentum Analysis (Final 3 Months)

Transformation accelerated in the final 90 days, accounting for 11 lbs of fat loss and 4 lbs of muscle gain.

The results for Will were clear. On DEXA, Will went from ~231–232 lb to ~220 lb, with body fat dropping from 26.7% to 21.4%. In the last three months alone, he lost ~11 lb of fat and gained ~3–4 lb of muscle, totaling an estimated ~26 lb fat loss and ~5–6 lb lean mass gain across six months. As Will put it bluntly: “To gain muscle while eating less is pretty awesome.”

"One of the biggest changes I noticed... Stable blood sugar throughout the day is probably the biggest thing. Gone were the energy crashes and fluctuations."

Internally, his markers moved in the same direction. Total testosterone increased over 250% from 346 to 885, which Will called one of the biggest changes he noticed. HbA1c improved to 4.8, and subjectively he felt the impact day to day: “Stable blood sugar throughout the day is probably the biggest thing.” Recovery improved too, with sleep scores typically in the mid to high 80s and a September average of 91%. Early on, what reassured him most was simply feeling better in a way that

“…Whoop couldn’t really even track.”

The "Unmeasurable" Shift

"Improvements that Whoop couldn't really even track... a qualitative shift in how his body felt a sense of vitality and resilience."

Foundations of Success

A multi-dimensional approach built on systems, data, and expert oversight.

Biomarker Assessment

Elimination of guesswork through regular blood work and DEXA scans, allowing for protocol adjustments based on individual physiological response.

Professional Oversight

Translation of complex health data into practical daily actions by a qualified team, moving from abstract theory to implementable reality.

Objective Reinforcement

Alignment with a data-driven professional mindset. Numerical proof of progress removed the need for faith, creating sustainable motivation.

Systemic Automation

Replacing willpower with habit formation. By building systems, the foundation remains serving the body long after the formal program ends.
